Clonmel Junction Festival is a multi disciplinary arts festival strongly anchored in the Clonmel community after eight years in existence.
The first Junction Festival was in 2001. It was a modest affair with four theatre shows each playing one performance, one comedy performance and a few sessions in the pub. With such a success in the previous years Junction decided to expand its events in 2005, from six to nine days. Instead of a weekend, the Festival is now filling two weekends of music, entertainment and street performance introduced each day under the arches of the Main Guard.
Clonmel Junction Festival 2009 is preparing the world music, comedy, theatre and several street and children acts. The Participation Programme is active preparing the colorful banners for the Festival and other programs are running to make summer 2009 a memorable period in Clonmel.
